Revert "core: Re-add ISO 8601 formatting workaround for dates"

This reverts commit bfbd4f5c.

Google have fixed their servers and now reject the workaround timestamp
format.

Unfortunately, because nothing is ever easy, this breaks Google Tasks.
Obviously something else is wrong there.
