Otherwise spectacular failure occurs if the sound plugin wins the race to make ~/.local and it ends up with 0600, which nothing can write to. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=694134

NOTE: This is just the default value, and our tools only ever read the first Unicode entry. When applications are modified to display the correct translation for the locale, it'll be important to match the correct language and country values.

g_ptr_array_remove_index_fast() was called as well as a free function, but the GPtrArray already had its own free function. Furthermore, g_ptr_array_remove_index_fast() replaces the indexed element with the last element, which means the current index must still be checked, but the for loop skipped it. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=694129

When starting up, we tell gnome-session to set the environment variables for new starting programs, but we don't set the environment for our own children. Do this on start up, as soon as possible. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=693381

The default setting in GDM is to have the keys enablable through keyboard shortcuts, and this gets inherited by the user sessions. The problem is that non-GNOME users won't have anything changing those defaults back to their expected values (so that Slow Keys don't triggered for example), and this causes problems: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=816764 If the user doesn't change anything to the defaults in the GDM session, we revert to the pre-"GNOME session" values. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=685063

I see a critical out of gnome_rr_config_set_clone in my session log. It turns out all uses of that function in the xrandr plugin are happening after possibly nulling the GnomeRRConfig they are operating on. This commit ensures the clone state is set immediately after creating the object to correct that. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=692372 (cherry picked from commit 92b5f787)

In between a start()/stop() pairing, if gnome_rr_screen_new() somehow returns NULL, exit the start() function earlier, before anything is set up. This helps avoid a crash where the x11_screen could be used by just-set-up signals. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=672245
